PALM SPRINGS ORDINANCE NO. 1748 NOW IN AFFECT !

JUST WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO OWNERS OF VACATION RENTAL PROPERTIES?

This ordiance means that if you rent your home or condo out for any periods of less than 28 days, you the owner have submitted

an application to the City of Palm Springs for a “Vacation Rental Registration Certificate” and that certificate must be displayed at the rental property.

Basically, there MUST BE a contact person in case of disturbances. The owner or their agent is available to respond within 45 minutes to ensure all

relavant laws are abided by and that the Vacation Rental unit has the required number of occupants per each Vacation Rental unit.

Simply this ordinanace is to keep the number of vacation renters to a minimum day or night and to ensure that the “Peace and Tranquilty” is kept

in a neighborhood or Condo complex ensuring the owners property is not damaged. No excessive noise or loud parties, No excessive number of vehicles

blocking streets or taking to many parking spaces, No disorderly conduct and no trash in public view.

“GOLF AND TENNIS REALTY”shall report name, violation, date & time of each responsible party(occupant) involved in 3 or more reported complaints

made at a single property to the City Manager.

OCCUPANTS MAY BE CITED OR FINED BY THE CITY AND/OR EVICTED!

“GOLF AND TENNIS REALTY” Will be on-call for you so you don’t have to, 24 hours a day 7 days a week at the rates stated below. Strickly for the

purpose of responding within a 45 minutes period of time within the Palm Springs city limits to complaints regarding the condition, operation,or conduct

of occupants of your Vacation Rental.

OUR RATES FOR THIS SERVICE:

$100.00 per month (28 day stay or less) per Vacation Rental Unit

$75.00 per phone call (days: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm)

$100.00 per phone call (nights: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am)
