This home is located in the wind free area of Palm Springs just minutes from downtown, casinos, restaurants, golfing, “The Tram” (which takes you to the top of the San Jacinto Mountain Range), any number of spectacular wilderness hikes, many nearby state and national parks and the Palm Springs airport. The Palm Springs shopping mall which includes large grocery, drug store, department stores, theatre and more are just steps outside the back gate.

Enter into your very own private tropical paradise of fragrant flowers, large citrus trees, giant bamboo and palm tree groves shading the garden. The sounds of fountains and waterfalls cascading into saltwater pools with a state of the art misting system cooling the entire outdoors creating the perfect environment for desert living.

This beautiful resort-like residence includes 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, media room, covered back yard with atrium, 16 foot saltwater spa and 50 foot long by 8 foot deep saltwater swimming pool. Three of the bedrooms have king size beds and flat screen TV’s with cable. The separate guest house accommodations include large media room with 52″ wide screen TV / Showtime and other on demand chanels, full bar, bedroom with queen size bed, and full bathroom. The large kitchen and large breakfast room open onto the shaded back yard atrium and 16′ spa with water fall. Next to the kitchen is the formal living and dining rooms.

This renovated home built in the grand Hollywood style of the late 1940’s is outfitted with new ultra modern furnishings and stunning stone floors with modern design details. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views while swimming and lounging around the 50′ pool or a relaxing massage under the pounding waterfall. Entertain in the graciously appointed media room with full bar or under the backyard fully furnished atrium. For open weeks of December we are taking off 20% of our regular price of 1400.00 a week. Rental fee would be $1120.00 plus local taxes of 11.5% or $128.80. Cleaning fee of 125.00, 150.00 or 175.00. Spectacular, airy, immaculate house in South Palm Springs is powered by the sun and has conventional back up. Watch our electric meter run backwards! Solar panels are discreetly placed and invisible from the front or back. At 3500 square feet, you won’t lack for room in this comfortable, beautiful and sunny home. House is newly renovated and gorgeously furnished, with original art, a three car garage and a heated pool and spa. We are very near to the Indian Canyons Golf Resort which is open to the public.

Area is far to the south in non-windy Palm Springs, in the prestigious Canyon Country Club neighborhood which receives full sun and has the best views of the San Jacinto mountains from its million dollar plus homes. Have no fear of golf balls or golf carts as we are off the fairway.

The backyard has a shade porch and a 33 foot pool with an attached spa. A six foot hedge provides total privacy for backyard living. Grab some fruit from our citrus trees to squeeze your morning juice and use the outdoor shower. New outdoor dining furniture seats eight. Pool area has four loungers and an outdoor fridge/wet bar and two sitting areas.

All rooms in this house are spacious and sunny with travertine tiles and amazing, original paintings throughout. Living room has soaring cathedral ceiling, fireplace and views of the pool and mountains. The master bathroom is the size of a Manhattan apartment and has a sunken tub and separate shower. Master bedroom has two enormous walk-in closets, each the size of a bedroom. We have added two roll away beds to accommodate more guests.

T.V. den is cool and cozy with shelves full of books and a 42 inch HD television with DVD player. Kitchen is fully equipped with island counter, gourmet cookware and state of the art appliances as well as a television. Next to it is a sunny breakfast room for reading the paper as well as an outdoor breakfast nook in the shade. Cabinets have crystal and wine glasses and three different sets of china.

Televisions with cable and HBO are in all bedrooms. Long distance calling is free and WiFi is provided for your laptop. A mini-business center with P.C., printer and fax is provided for your use. The computer is connected to DSL.

Solar powered air conditioning keeps this place cool in the hot months. We will be adding solar heating to our pool and water heaters for an even more “green” experience in the near future.

Small to medium dogs are welcome that are clean, flea-free, quiet, non-chewing and housebroken.

High chair and pack and play may be available upon request.

Spend 7 nights at the luxurious Marriott Desert Springs Villas I. A great holiday vacation destination — this spacious five-star resort, if available, usually rents for much more. The lock-out unit alone rents for $230 a night.

This beautiful two bedroom, two bathroom, 1650 square foot villa, accommodates up to eight persons and contains a step-down living area, formal dining alcove, fully equipped granite and stainless steel kitchen, high ceilings, fireplace, whirlpool tub, spacious patio/balcony and laundry within the unit. These particular villas are much roomier than its more apartment-like cousins (Marriott Desert Springs II or ShadowRidge). The layout works for everyone — with a king bed in the master suite, a separate lock-out suite with 2 queen beds plus the living room with a hide-a-bed if you need it — everyone is comfortable and not crowded.

$1,750 includes all taxes and fees.

The prime Palm Desert location has seven pool areas, whirlpool spas, fitness center, children’s activity center & nearby golf. The adjacent JW Marriott Hotel offers boat rides, restaurants, boutique shops, spa, two golf courses and a pro shop.

Palm Desert/Palm Springs is a fabulous area with a tremendous number of attractions and activities sure to entertain individuals and families of all ages.

We traditionally would spend Christmas week at this luxurious family resort, but won’t be able to use it this year. Usually this week is reserved by owners for their own use and is impossible to rent from the resort.
