Kitchen DescriptionSituated 10 minutes from the Bedford L, and 10 minutes from the JMZ, the apartment is a great comfortable place to stay. Queen Size bed, and couch. 1 bathroom, and nice light. Read full description.Recent review (6 total)Sam said”We originally had plans to head up to Ryan’s place 10/29 into the 30, however the storm kept us from travelling. Because Ryan was in Japan, he had set his friend Doug up to help us get situated. On the 30th, figuring it wouldn’t hurt to ask, we called Doug and asked him if it would be okay if we had switched our nights – to come up that day and stay into the 31st. He said it’d be no problem, which was great. The only complaint I have is that as soon as we arrived in Brooklyn, Doug called to let us know that the people who previously stayed at the apartment had clogged the toilet. However, he had a plumber on the way. Unfortunately, even the plumber couldn’t do the job without removing the toilet. Because he intended on charging Ryan quite a bit of money, Doug felt he couldn’t do that without speaking to him. Needless to say we did not have a toilet during our stay – but repetitively Doug was great! he lived down the street and provided us with a key in case we needed to use the bathroom. A bit of a hassle, but he was very accommodating. The place was also a bit dirty, but nothing unbearable.When we let Ryan know all that was going on, he was very apologetic. The good definitely outshined the bad. We had a great time. This is the perfect place to spend the holidays. Smack in the heart of the West Village, the most beautiful and picturesque New York City neighborhood, our apartment is less than a minute walk to almost every subway train. (ACE, BDFV, 123)

The apartment is furnished, and equipped with cable tv and wireless internet. The kitchen is great for cooking and there are several gourmet grocery stores within walking distance, not to mention, Murray’s Cheese, Amy’s Bread, and more bars and restaurants than you can imagine.

There is a bathtub and shower, sofa and full size bed. The apartment is on the fourth floor of a walk-up building and gets lots of light durring the day. There is also a New York Sports Club nearby, which you may be able to get a guest passTt, if you’re not a gym member.

The neighborhood is also extremely interesting historically. Janis Joplin lived on our block, Bob Dylan frequented the bars, and several Literary figures have left their undeniable marks.

Needless to say, this is a dream vacation spot if you’d like to spend the holidays feeling as though you are starring in your own romantic movie.

This sublet is available 12/22-1/2 and would prefer to rent to the same guests for the entire time.
