PALM SPRINGS ORDINANCE NO. 1748 NOW IN AFFECT !!!

JUST WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO OWNERS OF VACATION RENTAL PROPERTIES?

This ordiance means that if you rent your home or condo out for any periods of less than 28 days, you the owner have submitted an application to the City of Palm Springs for a “Vacation Rental Registration Certificate” and that certificate must be displayed at the rental property.

Basically, there MUST BE a contact person in case of disturbances. The owner or their agent is available to respond within 45 minutes to ensure all relavant laws are abided by and that the Vacation Rental unit has the required number of occupants per each Vacation Rental unit.

Simply this ordinanace is to keep the number of vacation renters to a minimum day or night and to ensure that the “Peace and Tranquilty” is kept in a neighborhood or Condo complex ensuring the owners property is not damaged.
No excessive noise or loud parties, No excessive number of vehicles blocking streets or taking to many parking spaces, No disorderly conduct and no trash in public view.

“DESERT RENTALS & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT” shall report name, violation, date & time of each responsible party(occupant) involved in 3 or more reported complaints made at a single property to the City Manager.

OCCUPANTS MAY BE CITED OR FINED BY THE CITY AND/OR EVICTED!

“DESERT RENTALS & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT” Will be on-call for you so you don’t have to, 24 hours a day 7 days a week at the rates stated below. Strickly for the purpose of responding within a 45 minutes period of time within the Palm Springs city limits to complaints regarding the condition, operation,or conduct of occupants of your Vacation Rental.

$100.00 per month (28 day stay or less) per Vacation Rental Unit

$75.00 per phone call (days: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm)

$100.00 per phone call (nights: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am)

We have several one bedroom condos in a gated community. Our condos are beautifully decorated each with a different theme. Africa, Morocco, Breezes, Hemmingway are just a few. Kitchens are fully stocked. All of our units are steps from pools and hot tubs. Pool and hot tub temps are maintained during the fall and winter months. Just bring your bathing suit and your favorite food. BBQ’s are located throughout the complex.

We have some availability in May and June.

June-September $500/week. Multi-week stays are discounted

This is for 7 nights at Palm Springs Tennis Club. The resort is located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Walk to downtown, Spencer’s Restaurant on the resort premises.

I personally own the following weeks and I am not a third party rental company. The unit sleeps 4 with a kitchenette. It has a separate bedroom (bedroom has a queen bed, sofa bed in the living room). Full kitchen on the one beroom, kitchenette for the mini suites. Pools, spa, tennis courts in the resort. This resort is rated GOLD CROWN by RCI.

Unit is available on the following dates:

July 9 – 16 -one bedroom/sleeps 4 $750.00

July 16 – 23 -one bedroom/sleeps 4 $750.00

Nov 19 – 26 -Mini Suite/Sleeps 2 $750.00

Palm Springs Tennis Club is located in the Palm Springs, CA. Enjoy the desert and mountain views. Play golf or tennis or just relax and enjoy the three swimming pools and spas. It is located a couple of blocks from downtown Palm Springs. Spencer?s Restaurant is located on site or walk to a wide variety of restaurants nearby. Short distance to art galleries, discount shopping outlets and theaters.
